All of the following classes are open on a walk in basis, no contract or on going commitment required. Adult classes continue throughout the year, you can begin at any time. All of the following classes are one hour in duration. Adult classes cost $10 to attend; discounts are available with the purchase of monthly class cards. If you are unsure of class placement level, all classes are open to public viewing.

Class Descriptions

BEGINNER TAP CLASS (Slow Paced)
For students with little or no training. Beginner tap class maintains a positive atmosphere focusing on technique and musicality. Technique is taught through rhythm exercises, across the floor work, and short combinations. Rhythm tap vocabulary is developed using exercises, which emphasize clean sounds and musicality. Students will have the opportunity to work on their listening skills as well as strengthening their tap sounds and quality. Students will learn the fundamentals of tap for advancement to the Intermediate Level Tap Class.

INTERMEDIATE TAP CLASS (Medium Paced)
This class focuses on the development of a sharpened sense of rhythm and sound clarity. With a strong emphasis on hearing and creating music, the class will be drilled on basic skills at an advanced level to bridge the gap between Open and Intermediate Level classes. If you're looking to clean up your sounds, get a fun rhythmic workout, and prepare yourself to take your tap to the next level, this class is for you. This class prepares you for advancement to the Advanced Level Tap Class.

CHOREOGRAPHY / ADVANCED TAP CLASS (Fast Paced)
The class consists of rhythm combinations, which are built upon, strengthening the student's technique and musical connection with dance as tap dancers are considered musicians. The class challenges experienced tappers with new rhythms, movements and various styles. Technique, strength and stamina are constantly being stressed and are the focus both in warm-up and combinations. Learn the improvisation skills that are essentials for serious tap dancers and never get stuck again in improv terror. This class contains advanced material and complex choreographed combinations.
