Class Descriptions

MONDAY OPEN HIP HOP CLASS (Moderate Paced)
Dancers of all levels welcome, great for beginners but challenging enough for experienced dancers. A breakdown of Alfred's class includes a warm-up focusing on strength, stretch, isolations, and breathing followed by a full routine. Alfred's combinations and choreography are always energetic and fun. With a diverse range of Hip-Hop and R&B music, he encourages students to shed their inhibitions, express themselves and to exercise. The biggest challenge of all: TO HAVE FUN. "It doesn't work if you don't smile!" His classes fuse original New York Hip-Hop style and movement . With patience, imagery, energy and great music, this class guides the dancer down a path to real Hip Hop. The class atmosphere is dominated by a sense of freedom, fun and energy while maintaining a challenging format.

WEDNESDAY ADVANCED HIP HOP CLASS (Fast Paced)
This class is fast paced and contains a large amount of choreography and is extremely athletic. Students should be able to be versatile in class as it pertains to styles. A breakdown of class includes a warm-up focusing on strength, stretch, isolations, and breathing followed by an extended routine. Students will also learn how to apply these steps in their freestyle, to aid with auditions or just for fun at parties. Most importantly is to have fun with the experience of dance.
