ORIGINS OF HIP HOP
Over the last 30 years Hip-hop has become a huge part of American Pop Culture. What separates hip-hop dance from other forms of dance is that it is often freestyle, improvisational in nature. More than 30 years old, hip-hop dance became widely known after the first professional breaking, locking, and popping crews formed in the 1970s. Parallel with the evolution of hip-hop music, hip-hop dancing evolved from breaking and popping and locking to wide spread use of modern moves in the mainstream.

The dance industry in particular responded with a studio based version of hip-hop dance is now practiced at both studios and outside spaces. Internationally loved, hip-hop dance is across the world. To others it has become a lifestyle: a way to be active in physical fitness or competitive dance and a way to make a living by dancing professionally. Hip-hop dance as seen today is a broad category that incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles.

STEP #2 – Select the day or days and times which will best accommodate the needs of your school. Programs can be scheduled for any day of the week, all year round to any location in the world.
STEP #3 – Submit your request and receive a completed contract and confirmation within 24 hours. You pay for the selected classes. ALG will pay for the airfare to arrive at your location anywhere in the world.
